Close Relationships
A burgeoning body of research shows that while having a livable quantity of material resources (money) is important if you want to feel fulfilled and happy later in life, the formation and maintenance of rich relationships might be just as important (for serving different needs).
One of the backbone studies in this space is also one of the longest-lasting in any space: for about 85 years, the Harvard Study of Adult Development has tracked a (starting) group of 724 men and more than 1,300 of their male and female descendants, asking them questions and taking measurements across three generations and counting, to figure out what makes people healthy and happy over time.
