AI Content Detection
Think-tank and online publication ZINE recently commissioned market research company YouGov to perform a survey on more than a thousand Americans to figure out how they respond to AI content and seeming AI content.
About 61% of respondents reported that they encounter content that may or may not be AI—they can’t figure it out—multiple times a week, more than a fifth indicating they experience this more than once per day, and around a third saying they encounter such content once a day or more.
More than half, about 59% of respondents, said they were confident they could distinguish AI from non-AI content, while 41% said they were either “not very” or “not at all” confident they could do so.
